Parkour & Climbing Coach Development Program
A program to help middle and high school youth gain valuable coaching skills in a safe, positive, and constructive environment led by experienced movement coaches. This is designed to be the first step to becoming a parkour or climbing coach, and to give participants a first-hand experience with group management, teaching younger peers, creating a safe movement environment, and preparing lessons plans.
Climbing Coaching - Learn from the experienced team at Brooklyn Boulders Somerville.
Parkour Coaching - Participants (ages 14+) will be led through the ADAPT Level 1 Course by an experienced and internationally accredited ADAPT tutor. Younger participants (ages 12 - 14) will go through the ADAPT Youth award and will undergo additional training with senior coaches from Parkour Generations Boston.

July 23 - 27: Assisting Week (Parkour + Climbing)
July 30 - 3: Assisting Week (Climbing Only)
August 6 - 10: Assisting Week (Climbing Only)
August 13 - 17: Assisting Week (Climbing Only)
August 20 - 24: Assisting Week (Parkour + Climbing)
August 27 - 31: Assisting Week (Parkour Only)

8:30 - 9:30 Arrival & Coaching Briefing

12:15 - 1:00 Lunch Activities & Supervision

3:00 - 3:30 Coach Debriefing & Challenges
3:30 - 5:00 Dismissal & extended day
Training week + 1 Assisting week = $950
Additional Assisting week = $400

Participants should be prepared for lots of movement and activity throughout the day. This is NOT a desk job, you will sweat. Guaranteed.
Participants should be prepared to: work with a group to accomplish physical & mental challenges, face and overcome fears, learn a lot about themselves and their environment, have the way that they look at their environment changed, respect and be respected by fellow participants and coaches, have fun!
