The Exploration Series focuses on developing participants' "Parkour Vision" the ability to perceive and move through an environment using ALL elements of the landscape- not just the ones that are approved by modern society. Each session will take place in a different man-made and/or natural environment so that participants can learn to move through and be comfortable on ANY terrain. Participants will move through a number of spots over the course of each 3-hour session with a special focus based on the theme of the session. Additional focus will be dedicated to exploring the creative and playful side of parkour training and finding unique and creative ways to use everyday terrain or objects. Along the way challenges will be presented in which participants may have to work together as a team or face obstacles individually and adapt their movement to continue down the path. Each session of the Exploration Series will be held in a new location to maximize the diversity of environments encountered. Participants will meet at a starting location and be led on a guided exploration.
Requirements & What to Bring:
Participants should expect to be extremely mobile as they will run between 3-5 miles over the course. A small bag with some light snacks and plenty of water are strongly advised.
