The PkGen Boston Challenge Day is a seasonal event that is designed to bring together people from throughout the Greater Boston parkour community for a morning of movement and challenge. While all of our classes and training session feature some element of challenge, this event is designed to a be one of those times where one figures out just how strong we are mentally and physically.

Each challenge will have a few different difficulty levels, from an “easy” setting that makes it accessible to a newcomer to parkour, to an “advanced” setting that will make it difficult from even the more seasoned members of the community. Challenges will be selected to test a wide range of techniques and strengths, and will very likely include some quirky elements to test comfort zones and adaptability. There will also be a number of “benchmark challenges” sprinkled into the mix to chart general strength and fitness progress over time and the effects of regular training. Participants are invited to bring a long training partners, dates, or a friend to participate as there will be a select few “bonus challenges” that will require cooperation or teamwork to successfully complete.

The event will start off with a group warm-up and detailed explanation of the challenges and then the participants will be “released” to tackle challenges at will. PkGen Boston team members will be on hand to offer guidance and expertise if needed and to track progress.

Participants must be 14+ (All current Monkey Squad members are welcome).
